I do like some niger movies but what really makes me sick bout most of dem is the they potray the country as too vooodious and all dat shiiit...most of the scripts are just idiotic though the producers thought they were making a comedy....i really wish there was a regulatory body to scrutinize the movies been released into the market cos for example this john okafor guy though he did some good comedy movies when b4 he broke in and started writing directing and producing himself....all what comes out from his stable right now are all b-----shits i wish someone could call him to order cos we have to remember that the niger movies are been seen beyond the shores of niger and whatever whoever is not nigerian sees on those movies is gonna register as a true life picture of our dear country not knowing that some peepz are just out there hustling with whatever is at their disposal to make dough.....

i do agree with Mr patrick's comment about nigerians film.... but i dont think you are looking at the full picture... you are viewing nigerian movies from a foreigner's point of view... the audience... nigerian who lives and think nigeria loves the films... that's y so many films are made daily.... as per the storylines... well if you have an audience that is always demanding more... you will hardly enough time to think your script through, don't you think... and as per the fact that they dont reflect reality... well i dont think films are suppose to 100% reflect the reality... mention two holloywood films that portrays reality (true life as it is... )... dont worry intelligent people would figure out the difference between fiction and non-fiction. And in any case nigerian films very much reflects reality although they exaggerate!!!
My fave movie.. none in particular but i prefer the epic ones like efunsetan aniwura

Hold on.... Patrick
Did I miss something here? It is a free world.
You might not like a particulars writer or producers works, but
that doesn't mean everyone else should feel the same.
You are not being forced to watch their productions nor is
anybody forceing you to buy their films.
There are many many Non Nigerian films that portray voodoo
and film in run down parts of their country.
You cannot pretend these things do not exist.
Story lines may be unbelievable, but I dont think anyone is
asking you to take them as gospel truth.
The Matrix, Harry Potter, to name a view..are just
the authors wild imagination put down on pen and paper
and animated.
Please o I love the fact that there is variety and freedom
to express oneself in this industry.
To all those who have made it ..well done
To all those who are comeing up..well done

I truly enjoy watching Nigerian movies..but wat really gets me is the poor quality.
Sometimes in the middle of a movie...the sound increases suddenly or goes away completely...scenes with crowds of staring bystanders...just to name a few.
There needs to be standards when it comes to movie release...Someone needs to demand that these directors/producers respect consumers and do at least a half-decent job.

You are so right about the sound quality.
In this day and age with all the high tech
filming, dubbing equipment, there is no
excuse not to have good sound.
Another thing is..why do they have very loud
music over the conversations?
Plus they seem to have the same song going
round and round on a loop..
Nigeria is the 3rd biggest film industry in the world.
So please all those actors and people in the film industries,
Directors etc, can we see some improvement please?

I found an internet radio station, or rather somebody gave me the link.
The films on there are crystal clear. So far there have been no music,
hissing interuptions.
Take a look for your self

I watched Omo odo... It was really nicely made.
Come back and tell us what you thought.
Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy
