MAGGOT THERAPY
« on: June 06, 2006, 04:45:20 AM »

Has anyone heard of maggot therapy?
This is a means whereby maggots are being parked in an unhealed sore on the part of the body and bandaged. The maggots will now live on the human body for a certain period of time in which the sore will disappear or be  healed
Is it possible for this treatment to happen in Nigeria or can anyone allow himself or herself to be fed by maggots while still alive?

I have seen 3 documentaries on the maggot healing.

Actually the maggots are got from Laboratory clean flies.

Ok don't say anything . Flies are flies and they are nasty.

But they show how the maggots eat away at any rotting

pusssy sores and  new  flesh is revealed in time.

Makes me shudder but I guess there are far worse

treatments.

It may sound disgusting...but if my life depended on it and no alternative existed...I would do it.

Chioma

I agree with you  100%

I always swore I would never use morphine, which

is a drug that can be abused.

I found myself having major surgery, on waking

I was in intense pain. When I could not bare the

agonising pains any more my hand hit that button.

Mennnnnnnnn I was so glad  it had been set up

despite me saying I would not need it.

I had all the usual withdrawal side effects , once

I no longer needed it.

True,if it will make you  better no matter what,

I believe we will do anything to get well.
