Although this study of Genesis was not intended to be an exaustive study of the book , many things are in it that were not covered but those things that spoke to me the most and would most likely speak to others along the same lines. But some of the things not covered were the decision of Lot , Abrahams nephew who chose the well watered plain of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah where the sins of idleness, fullness of bread , as well as pride and the sin of Sodomy were prevalent there so God rained down fire and brimestone on them and overthrew those cities because he hates sin and also to set an example to those who live ungodly not to do such things as they did but to repent and turn to God by faith.This was in the place where the Dead Sea is today. Also how Abraham prayed to the Lord for Lot and his family to be delivered and the Lord did deliver them out of there. The people in the Bible had much of the same sins that are prevalent today around the world. Some other people lied in the scriptures , some deceived people. Some worshipped other gods than the Lord. But even though sin was the same , God made a way before the foundation of the world to save mankind through his promised Messiah if only men will repent and believe on him as their Saviour and Lord. There were those who wanted to control the world with their tower of Babel and false religious worship. There were those who sought the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. But to this day , the Lord is seeking to call out a people for his names sake, from all nations. Some others in the scriptures such as Judah forgot to keep their promises yet in the fullness of time , God sent his Son from the tribe of Judah. And through it all God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. So I hope you have gotten something from this series on the book of Genesis which has been gotten from the word of God, the Holy Bible , which God has preserved his word to every generation of mankind.
