The next commandment of God given here in Exodus 20 is thou shalt not steal. So we are not to take someone elses property from him for ourself since it doesnt belong to us . So we shouldnt steal or the forms of it robbery , theft , breaking up , fraud , or even theft of time as when an employee doesnt do their work right for their employer. And even though we are to pay our taxes to the government they are not to steal from their citizens by fraud or other corruption in government but to treat the people justly or fairly. Cheating is also another form of stealing such as on tests in a school or taking of bribes to be dishonest in something and none of these things is God pleased with at all. Stealing is another sin against a Holy God who is able to bring back on those who steal the same things they have done to others. Under the law the Jewish people were to restore fourfold when having stolen something to make it right with someone else. So if you have stolen something , Let him that stole steal no more. And also make restitution if possible for what was stolen from someone else. As with all other sins a thief can be forgiven if they repent of their sins and trust the Saviour , the Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified between two thieves and one trusted the Lord there as his Saviour and the Lord told him this day thou shalt be with me in paradise. After he said Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. The other thief railed on him instead and didnt trust him and died and went to hell. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved , and thy house. Acts 16:31. God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners , Chist died for us. And rose again from the dead the third day, was seen of men , and went back up to heaven. Sincerely ; George ,
