This commandment is next , Thou shalt not bear false witness against they neighbor. This primarily had to do with witnessing in a trial about something someone had done and not telling the truth about what someone had done. As King Ahab and Queen Jezebel had done to Naboth so they could steal his vineyard from him and then had him and his family put to death. But this commandment can also apply to telling something false or lying about someone something that isnt true. Although it is not wrong to tell the truth about what someone has done and a true accusation is not wrong. This is why we are always to make certain that what we say is so and there is evidence to back it up. Otherwise it can hurt the person it has been said about. Another verse says that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established. We are to speak every man truth with his neighbor. And since God is a God of truth and without iniquity we also should be like that in our lives. But like any other sin Jesus died for it on the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago and can forgive the one guilty of it. Sincerely ; George ,
